Mission

Outreach

Our Outreach Committee works to keep our faith family connected to our community and the wider world. Outreach invites everyone to share their blessings with others through a variety of efforts, such as donating non-perishable items to the Covenant Soup Kitchen, preparing meals for the Community Supper Ministry in Willimantic, collecting for Church World Service and selling Fair-Trade coffee and other items.

Round Robin Crafters

If you knit, sew, crochet, or craft in any way, you’ll love the Round Robin Crafters!  We’re a group who loves to be creative and whether you are a long-time crafter or you’re just dabbling, we’re happy to have you!  Come share your tips and tricks, get some new ideas and creative inspiration, and enjoy the company of other crafters!  We meet in the Crafter’s Room every Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and make numerous crafts which are sold to raise money for our Church.   For those who cannot make these meeting times, we have various kits for folks who wish to work at home.

Environmental Justice

The purpose of the Environmental Justice Action Committee is to engage the congregation members, friends, and the community in issues of environmental stewardship and justice. We have two important goals; First, to educate the church community about the factors relevant to climate change and related social issues, and, second, to model responsible actions and behaviors that promote creation care and stewardship.

Food for the Soul

The Food for the Soul Committee is responsible for and passionate about maintaining the kitchen and everything concerning food.  The Committee is active in the community and hosts various activities, both church and community related.  They have hosted small breakfast gatherings, weddings, large dinners, fund raisers, and have even served foreign dignitaries and members of historical encampments.   One of the many annual events they host includes the Easter Sunrise breakfast open to all attending the Ecumenical Sunrise Service on the Lebanon Green.

Many members of the Food for the Soul Committee are both State and Federally certified for Food Service and would love to help with your event.  Contact the church office (860-642-6179) if you are interested in having the Food for the Soul cater your event.

Historic Church Tours

We offer historic tours of our building by appointment. We maintain our historical heritage while moving our church into the future.  Call the church office (860-642-6179) if you are interested in a tour.
